Various methods are used when undertaking surveys to ensure that the information collected is as accurate as possible. Specific techniques include bottle trapping reptiles and the identification of breeding sites such as badger setts, vole burrows etc.
With regard to the practical element, we here at ArB Tree Care are highly experienced in all aspects from Badger/Reptile fencing to the treatment of Japanese Knotweed. We have undertaken full courses of Badger fencing along the M1. Reptile fencing has also been completed along the M1, additional to other Newt fencing projects at Cannock Chase and in various quarries throughout Staffordshire.
All surveys and works carried out meet Natural England protected species guidelines, Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management guidance on survey methodology and are carried out to BS5837 standard.
